Minnesota Indian Community Associations

Minnesota is home to a few Indian community associations and groups.

Gujaratis, Marathis, Malayalees, Kannadigas and Telugus in Minnesota have all formed their own associations representing their culture and interests.

Besides language based associations, there are organizations representing the interests of Jains and Cricket fans as well.

Minnesota Indian associations are active and organize programs to celebrate Indian Independence Day, Republic Day Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara, Diwali, Sankranti, Ugadi, Baisakhi and Vishu that bond the community.

Most of these events include cultural programs like Bollywood music concerts, Bharanatyam, Bhangra dance programs and food stalls peddeling Tandoori Chicken, Hakka Noodles, Idly, Vada, Mysore Masala Dosa, Dokhla, Samosa, Dum Biryani etc.
